University of York

Why Study at York?
York is a beautiful medieval city in the north of England. The city has a rich heritage and has been the center of many major political events through history. It offers an extraordinary variety of cultural and historical activities, as well as sports and recreation. The University of York ranks one of Britain’s top 10 universities.

Juniors. Some departments, such as Psychology, are open to full year students only.

Top fields of study are: Political Science, English, International Relations, Economics, Archeology, History, Art History, Psychology, Political Science, Biology and Chemistry. 40 York credits = 16 UR credits. Spring semester participants must study during York’s Spring Term and Summer Term.

You will be billed for UR tuition by the UR Bursar.  You will be charged for housing costs by the University of York.  Board, airfare, and personal expenses are separate, but any UR aid you receive applies towards these costs.  See your financial aid counselor for information about scholarships and other aid. If you are interested in the University of York, we strongly encourage you to apply for the BUTEX North American Scholarship Programme. 
Note: You are automatically eligible for a $2,000 per semester exchange grant.

Spring: January 6-June 27th
Note: The equivalent to UR spring semester is both spring term and summer term in the University of York calendar. You must complete both terms in order to receive credit for spring.
