Why Study in Uppsala?
Uppsala is a classic Northern European university city with a very lively cultural life. It is located a short 45 minutes north of Stockholm, Sweden. Uppsala University is the oldest in all of Scandinavia, found in 1477. It is famous for its 13 student residential organizations, called “Nations,” each representing one region of Sweden.

Top fields of study: Natural Sciences, Business, Political Science, History, Mathematics, Computer Science, Sustainable Development, Psychology, Swedish Language and Culture. 

Note: Some departments may require a GPA in the major field higher than 3.0.  For more information, see your Study Abroad Adviser.

30 ECTS = 16 UR credits

Housing is provided for exchange students. Read and “International Student Guide” for details on housing and budget estimates.  You will be billed for housing by the housing authority in Uppsala. Your UR-administered financial aid will apply towards all costs.

Program costs:
You will be charged UR tuition.
Note: You are automatically eligible for a $2,000 per semester exchange grant.
