In 2013, QS World University Rankings also placed the University of Newcastle in the top three per cent in the world, specifically at position 298, and at 26th in the world on their list of the world's highest achieving universities under the age of 50 - the QS Top 50 under 50.
Taking a closer look at the 2014 QS Subject Rankings, 12 University of Newcastle disciplines are now ranked in the top 200 universities across the globe. When you accept our offer, you will be issued with an Electronic Confirmation of Enrolment (eCOE). This verifies to the Australian Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP) that you are a legitimate student

Overseas Student Health Cover
The Australian Government requires all holders of a student visa to have approved health cover for the duration of their visa, Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC). The University has a preferred arrangement in place with Allianz Global Assistance to assist students streamline this process. The University will deduct the cost of your health insurance from your deposit. This ensures that from when you arrive in Australia you have health cover.
